You'll find them in the ghettos of Brazil, at the top of corporations, or tucked away in labs designing the latest technological wonders.
Simon Fraser University alumni are recognized annually by the university and its alumni association for the impact they have on the world, whether locally or globally.
Nominations are now being sought for the SFU Alumni Association's 2007 Outstanding Alumni awards. Nominators can be alumni, faculty, staff, students or community members.
Since the awards were established in 1983 they have become one of SFU's most celebrated traditions. More than 100 alumni have been honoured. They include athletes such as Daniel Igali and Lui Passaglia, Liberal MP Ujjal Dosanjh, former Vancouver city planner Larry Beasley, and writer and poet Roy Miki.
Award categories include academic achievement, arts and culture, athletics, professional achievement, public service, service to the community and service to the university.

Nominations should include the nominator's name, address and phone number, a brief biographical profile of the nominee, and a statement describing his or her achievements. Supporting documentation is also welcome.
