Ian Forsyth is the University Archivist and Information and Privacy Coordinator at Simon Fraser University. He previously held positions as Deputy Archivist for Ontario and was the first FOI/Privacy Coordinator at the Archives of Ontario. Before that he worked both as a government records and private manuscript archivist. Ian has over twenty-five years experience developing, implementing and managing archival, information management and access and privacy programs. At SFU he is responsible for the University's corporate archives, its records management program and coordinating copyright administration as well as operational activities that enable compliance with BC's information and privacy law.
Craig Neelands has over thirty years experience in both the public and private sectors as an information management analyst and archivist. Craig has worked for the Government of British Columbia, B.C. Records Management Services Ltd., the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, the City of Richmond Archives and the University of British Columbia in addition to providing information management consulting services to a variety of other businesses and organizations.
At Simon Fraser University Craig is responsible for processing access requests and privacy complaints as well as providing advice to departments about how the Freedom of Infomation and Protection of Privacy Act applies to university operations.
As Archivist, Paul is responsible for liaising with potential donors to acquire records that enrich and expand the Archives’ private research holdings; providing reference services to the Archives’ clientele; liaising with faculty and staff to promote the use of archives in teaching, research, and university administration; arranging and describing archival fonds and collections to facilitate access; and developing information management policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Paul is a graduate of the University of British Columbia's School of Library, Archival and Information Studies and holds Masters degrees in both Archival Studies (MAS) and Library and Information Studies (MLIS).
Rita Mogyorosi is a graduate of the University of Manitoba and University of Winnipeg Joint Master's Program in Archival Studies. Rita has been working with the Archives and Records Management Department since 2006 in various roles, including as the lead archivist for several large-scale records management projects. She previously held the position of Records Manager with Stó:lō Nation in Chilliwack.
As Records Management Archivist at Simon Fraser University, Rita is responsible for conducting records inventories; preparing Records Retention Schedules and Disposal Authorities (RRSDAs); researching and writing records management and archival appraisal rationales; providing records classification and records keeping advice and assistance to campus departments; operating the University Records Centre, including the transfer, storage, retrieval and confidential destruction of records; developing information management policies, procedures, standards and guidelines; and accessioning records transferred to Archives.
Marcia Beacham Fuller has worked as an Archivist in the Archives and Records Management Department since January 2010. She is primarily responsible for providing records access through arranging and describing archival fonds and collections. Marcia also provides reference services and is involved in SFU Archives policy development. She previously held the position of Archivist and Curatorial Assistant at the Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives in Gibsons.
Marcia holds master’s degrees in both Archival Studies (MAS) and Library and Information Studies (MLIS) from the University of British Columbia’s School of Library, Archival and Information Studies.
Lisa Agosti has worked at Simon Fraser University since 1992, holding positions in various departments before coming to the Archives and Records Management Department in 2004. As Records Services Clerk, Lisa provides operational support for the records management, archival and freedom of information and protection of privacy programs. Lisa focuses most of her time on processing departmental records transfers and retrievals from the University Records Centre, acting as the Archives and Records Management Department's primary contact in the provision of these services.
Vanessa joined the department in May 2010. Vanessa supports the administrative needs of the department, including maintenance of the website. Prior to joining the SFU Temporary Pool in November 2007, Vanessa worked for the Metro Vancouver (GVRD) Parks Department for 13 years in education and communications.
