Description

Series comprises applications and supporting documentation received by Financial Assistance in the course of processing student applications for University and private undergraduate scholarships and awards, and for bursaries and emergency loans.

Records consist of application forms, supporting documentation (letters of reference, students' letters of application) and appeal forms.

The files are arranged alphabetically by semester.

A file is opened for each applicant; packets consisting of copies of the documentation of short-listed candidates are sorted by award type and forwarded to the adjudicating person / committee. The packets are destroyed upon decision, while the original file is maintained by Financial Assistance.

NOTE: Entrance Scholarships are handled by the Student Recruitment Office in Registrar's and are disposed of under schedule 1997-058.
