Description

Series comprises files created by Human Resources to document the payment of pension and death benefits to the beneficiaries of deceased University employees and former employees.

Records include correspondence and memoranda, benefit calculations, beneficiary data, death certificates, copies of wills and testaments, benefit payment forms.

The records are arranged alphabetically by surname of employee.

This is a one-time schedule as it covers a discontinued record series. At present when a current employee dies, the documentation is transferred to his or her personnel file; when a retiree dies, the documentation is maintained in the Retiree Case File (RRSDA 1999-023).
