SFU AND LA FRANCOPHONIE

SFU’s administration operates in English and the majority of its programs and courses are taught in English.  Two faculties offer programs and courses taught in French: the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences  and the Faculty of Education. The Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs (OFFA) provides all of its services and activities in French, including a student lounge and a multi-media library.

SFU has been a member of the Association des universités de la francophonie canadienne (AUFC) since January 2012. The university is also an associate member of the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and a member of the Association internationale des études québécoises (AIÉQ).

EMPLOYMENT AT SFU
>>: The hiring of teaching staff (professors, lecturers, etc.) is headed by the various departments and program sectors within SFU faculties. Support staff and administrative staff employment is overseen by Human Resources.
