Beryllium (Be) Study Home

The purpose of this research is to conduct focused exposure assessment in BC industries with potential beryllium hazard and increased rates of sarcoidosis. This information may help us discover sentinel cases of Chronic Beryllium Disease (CBD) in BC workplaces.

The study is supported by Prevention and Occupational Disease Initiatives, Worker and Employer Services, WorkSafe BC; and led by Dr. Tim Takaro at Faculty of Health Sciences, Simon Fraser University.
