My research interests lie in processes that generate divergence within and among populations, and how selection and historical processes contribute to population differentiation and speciation. I started my science career as a marine ecologist, then studied the evolution of natural guppy populations across North East South America for my PhD research.
I completed my PhD on the population divergence and sexual isolation among Poecilia
reticulata populations at Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, under the
supervision of Dr. Felix Breden, and the guidance of the FAB* Lab.
I am currently a BMSC Postdoctoral Fellow working with Dr. Brad Anholt, Director,
BMSC, on sex ratio variation among Tigriopus californicus populations at
the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre (BMSC).
Website design and develpment is also an aquired skill, and I am currently webmaster
of the BMSC website and OceanLink, a website
dedicated to ocean education for youth. |
