Dr Philip Molloy
I am an evolutionary ecologist interested in conservation and related questions. Broadly speaking, I study the evolution of mating systems, life histories (with particular focus on sex change) and behaviours, their links to conservation of fisheries and marine communities as well as the effectiveness of fisheries management and conservation strategies. In case that wasn’t enough to keep me on my toes, I also study the genetics and evolution of mixed-mating systems using the self-fertilising mangrove killifish, Kryptolebias marmoratus. I am now a post-doctoral research associate with Project Seahorse, at the Fisheries Centre of the University of British Columbia.
