Species at Risk

With the passing of the Species at Risk Act in 2002, Environment Canada’s responsibilities expanded considerably, and the CWE’s projects currently include work on Eastern Whip-Poor-Wills, Marbled Murrelets, Scripps's Murrelets, Yellow-breasted Chats, Barn and Tree Swallows, Barn Owls, Lewis's Woodpeckers and Tuamotu Sandpipers.
