The Department of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology offers a Master’s degrees, M.Sc. and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree.
M.Sc. (Thesis) requires a minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate courses, a Master's thesis proposal and a successful thesis defense. It is expected that degree requirements can normally be completed in six semesters.
Ph.D. Normally the supervisory committee will specify any courses necessary to complete the student’s academic preparation. In exceptional circumstances, the supervisory committee may allow the student to proceed without additional course work over and above that for a Master’s degree. Degree requirements include successful completion of comprehensive examinations, a dissertation proposal, two seminar presentations and a successful thesis defense.
