Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology Fall Cohort Information
The department of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology (BPK) advances the understanding of physiology, movement and human health through fundamental and applied research, education and service. We provide opportunities for outstanding learning, world-class research and active engagement with the community to improve human health.
To encourage student engagement, BPK will be one of the Science Cohort Program pilot project (Fall 2010), which is a one semester program. This program is available to students approved in the BPK major program in the Faculty of Science. Students will co-register for four core courses, including labs and tutorials. The cohort involves a package of existing courses required for the major program, and builds on the small group learning of the tutorial system. Participants of the Cohort will meet a couple of times per month for additional events. In addition, students in the program will be supported by a faculty mentor and undergraduate student mentor.
