We will be at Neuroscience 2008 this November presenting a poster on our recent data looking at orthographic perception in adults using erSAM (event related synthetic aperture magnetometry). This will be my first poster at a big conference, so be sure to come by and say hello!

I also came across this cleverly*cough* titled story from the New Scientist: Crows make monkeys out of chimps in mental test. Alex Taylor at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, argues that unlike chimps, crows are able to form mental conceptualizations that extend beyond simply visual features when attempting to solve complex problems. The original paper will appear in the November Royal Society's Proceedings B journal.
