This service provides faculty, staff, and students with the ability to use their computers to interact with others through:
- Scheduling and starting meetings
- Having video and audio chats
- Sharing documents
- Collaborating using whiteboards and polls
- Recording conferencing with transcripts

Hosting A Class Or Internal Event For More Than 300 Participants?
Faculty and staff can request for Zoom Webinar or Zoom Large Meeting for classes or events with more than 300 participants. Not available to student hosts.

WANT TO LIVE STREAM PUBLIC EVENTS, E.G. USING YOUTUBE LIVE OR FACEBOOK LIVE?
SFU Zoom offers Live streaming on third-party applications (e.g. Youtube Live or Facebook Live). This feature is only available to public events, i.e. events including non-SFU memebers, such as Convocation and StreetFest. Classes or internal events at SFU are NOT eligible for using live streaming.

Workshops
The Centre for Educational Excellence (CEE) will be offering
workshops, on how to use Zoom as a tool for effective remote instruction. CEE will demonstrate features in Zoom that can be leveraged for teaching and learning, as well as highlight best practices for synchronous instruction.
