Abida was born and raised in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan where she was active in her community throughout high school. She did her BS Honors in Economics from Quaid-e-azam University, Islamabad where she specialized in Pure Economics. She then worked as a content writer and did her Masters in Project Management from Szabist University, Karachi. She is currently doing her MA in Muslim Cultures at ISMC, London.
