Media Minds (virtual)
The SFU Surrey - TD Community Engagement Centre is offering a virtually-delivered Media Minds program for Surrey youth in grades 6 and 7. The program is a series of workshops that help children develop confidence, communication skills and creativity through film education.
Youth participants create characters, write stories, and animate their characters either individually or as pairs, and receive feedback on their work from SFU volunteers and the Program Supervisor. Our objective is to give students a more effective transition into high school by empowering them to speak up, share their ideas and think creatively to overcome the barriers they face.
Are you an SFU student interested in volunteering for this program?
