Biography

I am the associate director of the Learning Experiences Assessment & Planning (LEAP) division. My portfolio includes the Student Evaluation of Teaching and Courses (SETC) program and Educational Goals. Previously, I worked as an analyst in SFU’s Office of Institutional Research and Planning (IRP).

I earned my B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia before joining the Learning and Cognition Lab in the Faculty of Education at SFU. I hold an MA and am currently a PhD candidate in Educational Psychology.

My research has focused on various statistical techniques for the analysis of large data sets collected from subject eye movements. My most recent publication is a meta-analysis focused on constructive cognitive activities learners can enact to effectively comprehend new information or problem solve. Also, I have taught several graduate-level education courses focused on quantitative research methods at SFU.

I currently live in Port Moody and enjoys fiction, travelling and hiking near Buntzen Lake.
