Rethinking Course Design
Are you developing a new course? Would you like to revise one of your current courses? This four-day workshop is designed to support you in the development of your course. By the end of the workshop, you will have a draft course outline and a plan for implementing new teaching strategies that you want to explore. Successful completion of the workshop can also serve as evidence of teaching development in your dossier for review/promotion.
Additional information
This four-day workshop will give you the opportunity to reimagine your course with the support of CEE Educational Developers and faculty facilitators. During this workshop, you will:
- reflect on and interrogate your course design from the perspective of your students and inclusive teaching,
- progress through the course design process from concept mapping to teaching strategies,
- work in small multi-disciplinary groups and benefit from peer and facilitator feedback.
Advance registration is required, and space is limited to 24 SFU faculty members. Although continuing SFU faculty members will receive priority, limited-term faculty and sessional instructors, as well as graduate students solo-teaching a course, are eligible to participate.
Registration
Stay tuned for the next offering.
