| No agenda.
We are interested purely in what rigourous research can reveal about the effects of education policies and programs. These findings can and should be taken into account as appropriate by policy makers, in order to improve program design and inform policy deliberation. But it is entirely up to policy makers how they use our work. Although we often discuss what appear to be the policy implications of our findings, we make no recommendations.
CERP does not enter a research program with any interest whatsoever in finding any particular result. Our independence and commitment to neutral scholarship means our research can be relied upon.
Of course, it is likely that some of the things we discover may be better-received in some quarters than others. But if you read interpretations of our work that have been tailored by third parties to suit an agenda, be sure to check how closely they match CERP's own interpretations of what we are learning.
