2018-2019 Undergraduate Student Research Awards

If you are an undergraduate chemistry student who'd like to gain research experience in a university setting, you should consider applying for an NSERC or VPR Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA). USRAs provide students with the opportunity to work on research projects with an academic supervisor for a 16 week duration.

The award value is $4,500, plus a minimum faculty supplement of $1,856.  

Are you eligible for an award?       

Students applying for NSERC and VPR USRAs must be registered in a bachelor’s degree program at the time of application, and they must also have been registered in at least one of the two terms prior to the award term. To be eligible for a USRA, students must have obtained a CGPA of at least 2.67. The table below summarizes the different eligibility requirements for NSERC and VPR USRAs:

Students must submit the following to the Chemistry General Office by February 2nd, 2018 at 4:00pm:

2. Up-to-date unofficial transcript
