Congratulations to the winners of the Summer 2021 Chemistry Undergraduate Research Awards!

A Message from Evon Khor, Undergraduate Advisor:

I have the pleasure of announcing the following students who have won the Summer 2021 Chemistry Undergraduate Presentation Awards for their work presented on Thursday August 19th and Friday August 20th, 2021. Monetary prizes in the amount of $250 will be awarded to the winners.

Sveta Chen presented her Chem 481 work titled "Design, Synthesis, and Characterization of a Piezo-/Ferroelectric Perovskite Solid Solution with high Curie Temperature (TC)" (supervisor: Dr. Zuo-Guang Ye).

Crystal Deng presented her Chem 481 work titled "Design, Synthesis and Characterization of Quantum Paraelectric Modified Multiferroic Materials" (supervisor: Dr. Zuo-Guang Ye).

Thomas Karpiuk presented his Chem 481 work titled "Cyanometallate-Based Coordination Polymers of the F-Block Metals" (supervisor: Dr. Daniel Leznoff) and his NuSc 482 work titled "Radiopharmaceuticals and Pancreatic Cancer: Current Progress and Future Prospects" (supervisor: Dr. Caterina Ramogida).

Lucas London presented his Chem 481 work titled "Tuning Stability and Reactivity of Cr oxo Complexes via Ancillary Ligand Electronics" (supervisor: Dr. Tim Storr).

Jessy Ruan presented her USRA work titled "Synthesis and characterization of structure and physical properties of organic-inorganic mixed-cation halide perovskite" (supervisor: Dr. Zuo-Guang Ye).

Jody Tao presented her USRA work titled "Microenvironment Effects on Multi-step Electron Transfer Through Tyrosine" (supervisor: Dr. Jeffrey Warren).
