The SFU Children's Centre is located at the northwest corner of
the Simon Fraser University campus, atop Burnaby Mountain.
The Children's Centre is a provincially licensed facility operated
by the SFU Childcare Society. It provides full and part
time services for children of students, staff and faculty of Simon
Fraser University and families from the broader community.
The SFU Childcare Society vision is for publicly-funded child care
that is accessible and affordable and that can accommodate families’ diverse
child care needs. A place where children are nurtured and encouraged
to grow and develop; where programs are delivered by caring and
qualified staff who are compensated commensurate with their education,
training and expertise. For more information on our vision, mission,
pillars of quality and values and principles, click on Our
Philosophy.
The Centre is a unique custom-designed purpose built
complex that contains 11 programs for children 3 months to 12 years of
age. All of our programs are
run by professional, caring staff who are qualified Early Childhood
Educators and School Age Providers. For more information on the
programs that we offer, click on Programs & Services.
