including two of CMNS 220, 221 223, 226.

Course Description: This course introduces students to the issues arising from the evolving role of communication media in children's lives. The course will provide an historical perspective on the development of children's media including books, films, television and video games, with a focus on the current critical debates and research analysis of postmodern childhood. The course will also examine and evaluate a variety of policy and program initiatives in the area of children's media consumption and media education.

The School expects that
the grades awarded in this course will bear some reasonable relation to
