CMNS 50 Interactive Digital Timeline

Expected launch date: August 15, 2023

As part of the School’s 50th Anniversary celebration this year, we are launching an interactive timeline that maps major events, developments, and people in the history of our School. We aim to develop a digital archive of materials (images, media stories, videos, etc.) for designing the timeline over the summer for an official launch in mid-August. The timeline will be featured at our Fall Speakers’ Series and Fall Symposium.

Right now, we’re putting out a call for action! Please send us recommendations, materials, and media links for resources you think are key in celebrating the history of the School of Communication. Working from the list below, we ask that you send us your photos, videos, and other media (including links), as well as stories and other resources that are suitable to the list.

Please send all correspondence to cmns50@sfu.ca by June 26, 2023.
