SFU brand refresh: Tools, FAQs and elements

May 28, 2019

Are you as excited about SFU’s refreshed brand as we are?

We hope you were able to join us for the rollout Monday and are keen to start using it to reflect SFU’s vision as Canada’s engaged university.

There was a lot covered in the meeting, a lot to take away and think about.

And as this is all pretty new to most of us, we’ve prepared a one-pager that explains the brand elements – typography, colours, photography etc.

Feel free to download the PDF (below) and display it in your workspace for easy reference (just what is the colour code for SFU’s light red anyway?). We are also working to compile answers to all the questions posed during the meeting. We will present them here as a blog post as soon as we can.

We’ve also created a handy list of frequently asked questions (below) that can help you better appreciate the need for a brand, how it was developed and the need to be consistent in its use across the university.

If you haven’t already, please check out the brand tools in the SFU Communicators Toolkit.

The SFU brand will continue to evolve and we want to hear from you about what’s working and what’s not. Please feel free to contact us with any questions at
