SFU Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences welcomes new communicators
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, SFU’s largest faculty, has dramatically increased its team of communicators. These new hires will help boost engagement and enrollments and share the faculty’s stories, events and many successes.
There are now 14 communicators in FASS, with three more hires in progress. New in their positions as of this summer are: Aman Chandi, Carmen Chin, Emily Co, Geoff Gilliard, Cindy Li, Amanda Maxwell, Philip Omulo, Alyssa Quan, Ash Tanasiychuk and Gabriel Wong. A few of the names may be familiar, as several communicators have worked in different areas across the university.
“I’m excited to work with this wonderful new team of communicators to highlight all the stories that already exist throughout our Faculty, but which we didn’t have the capacity to share broadly until now,” said Gladys We, director, marketing and communications in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
“This talented team will be able to draw from each other’s strengths to help each other raise awareness of what our students have accomplished with their FASS degrees and what our faculty and students are doing to help create a better world.”
The new group joins communicators Chris Dickert, Anne Marie Gagne, Jonathan Gudlaugson and Kevin Wagner. They will work with faculty members to inspire current and future students and build SFU’s brand and vision as Canada’s Engaged University.
