PWN Vision



Positive Women's Network, a partnership of women living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, supports women in making informed choices about HIV and health. We provide safe access to support and education/prevention for women in communities throughout British Columbia.  The Positive Women's Network provides leadership and advocacy around women's HIV/AIDS health and social issues in the national and local health care communities.

PWN is a community based, women-focused organization. We provide a safe and confidential space for HIV+ women. Any woman living with HIV/AIDS in British Columbia is eligible to become a member of Positive Women’s Network. Membership is FREE. PWN is trans-inclusive & child-friendly.

PWN Offers:

• a women-only drop-in centre, open Monday-Thursday, 11:30am-3:30pm

• drop-in lunch program, Tuesdays, 12:00pm-2:00pm

• Aboriginal-specific activities

• advocacy

• retreats and outings

• food bank (call for details)

• housing subsidies

• information and referrals

• on-line support and information for HIV+ women throughout BC by professional staff

• one-to-one support sessions in person, on the phone, or on-line

• peer support

• support for family and care providers

• support groups

• leadership & peer support trainings

• HIV Education: for members, service providers and the public
