CS Research Day Hosted on December 1st

Our annual CS Research Day event was hosted again this year on December 1st. The event featured alumni talks from Ming Hua (Vice President, Product + Engineering on Augmented Reality Devices at Meta Reality Labs) and Chris McIntosh (Assistant Professor, Medical Biophysics and Computer Science at the University of Toronto), as well as faculty talks from Parmit Chilana, Steven Y. Ko and Yuepeng Wang

Our event also featured over 20 research presentations from our graduate students. Below are the video presentations from our prize winners this year!

1st place: Boosting Monocular Depth Estimation Models to High-Resolution via Content-Adaptive Multi-Resolution Merging by Sebastian Dille, Seyed Mahdi Hosseini Miangoleh and Ari Blondal

2nd place: One Map Does Not Fit All: Evaluating Multi-Modal Medical Image Explanation by Weina Jin, Xiaoxiao Li and Ghassan Hamarneh

3rd place (tie): Evaluating the Reproducibility of Segmentation and Genome Annotation (SAGA) Algorithms by Mehdi Foroozandeh Shahraki, Marjan Farahbod and Maxwell Libbrecht

3rd place (tie): Are We Ready for Cardinality Estimation? by Changbo Qu, Xiaoying Wang, Weiyuan Wu, Jiannan Wang and Qingqing Zhou
