Other Programs

The School of Computing Science offers a variety of other ways to earn a qualification in computing science and gain a range of valuable skills to enhance your career prospects.

Computing Science Minor

The computing science minor gives you a solid understanding of computer science and programming principles. Admission is open to all current SFU students with a major in a discipline other than computing science. Almost all degree programs are structured with enough available electives to take a minor in computing science without the need for additional courses or time to graduation.

What you learn

The minor program is more flexible than our major in computing science.  Based on your interests in computing science, you could get a broad introduction to the field, or specialize in a specific area to complement your major.
