Conference Program The conference will begin on Wednesday, July 16, 2003. The conference desk will be in operation as of 3:00 p.m. PDT, to allow participants to pick up their conference package. The official opening of the conference will take place at 5:30 p.m., with an address by Dr. Kieran Egan followed by an opening reception, starting at 6:30 p.m., which all registered participants are invited to attend. The conference will begin on both Thursday, July 17th, and Friday July 18th, at 9:00 a.m. (the registration desk will be open as of 8:00 a.m.) and run until 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 19th. Plenary sessions will open and close each day of the conference, with a special keynote address by Dr. Elliot Eisner on the morning of Thursday, July 17th. A number of concurrent sessions (papers and workshops) will be delivered each day between the opening and closing plenary sessions. In addition, the IERG will host a post-conference gathering of educators interested in learning more about imaginative education and in establishing a practitioners’ network. This gathering will take place on Saturday, July 19th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the conference venue.
