Conference Registration

Important Deadlines

  • Early registration conference fee deadline: Tuesday, April 1, 2003
  • Conference registration deadline: Monday, July 7, 2003
    Register on site after that deadline (space permitting).
  • Accommodation Deadline: Sunday, June 15, 2003
  • Register for the conference by: Monday, July 7, 2003

Registration Fees

  • All fees are in Canadian dollars.
  • The registration fee includes the Canadian Government’s 7% Goods and Services Tax.
  • All presenters are expected to pay the registration fee.
  • There are no reduced fees for presenters/participants wishing to attend only part of the conference.
  • The student/retired teacher/retired faculty fee does not include conference meals (lunch and boat cruise).

Fees and Special Rates

On/before April 1, 2003
Early registration fee: $275
Early Student/retired teacher/retired faculty Fee: $50 (does not include meals)

After April 1, 2003
Registration Fee: $300
Student/retired teacher/retired faculty Fee: $75 (does not include meals)

The full conference registration fee includes admission to all conference sessions, beverage breaks, meeting materials, Wednesday opening reception, Thursday lunch, and the boat cruise on Friday evening. The student/retired teacher/retired faculty fee does not include the lunch or the dinner boat cruise.

Extra Cruise Tickets (for guests and students/retired teacher/retired faculty) are available at $68 each. Tickets are sold at cost.

Student Fee
A valid copy of a student ID card or proof of full time status must be faxed/mailed to the conference office.


How to Register

On-line
Complete the on-line form. You will be given the option of paying for your registration fees on-line via a secure server (Visa or MasterCard).

Sorry, Simon Fraser University does not accept American Express or Diners Club.
All credit card transactions will be processed in Canadian dollars and are subject to current exchange rates.

By Mail or Fax

Complete the on-line form and mail with your cheque or bank draft made payable to Simon Fraser University to the address provided below. Forms can also be faxed and cheques mailed separately.

Note: Faxed or mailed registrations will not be processed until payment is received.

Cancellations and Refunds
Full refunds, less a $30 processing fee ($20 for students/retired faculty/retired teachers) will be granted to cancellations received by Monday, July 7, 2003. No refunds will be issued after that date. Refunds will be mailed after the conference and will not be given to no-shows. Substitutions are permitted.

Confirmation of your registration
If you register on-line and pay by credit card, you will receive immediate confirmation via our server.

Receipts
If you pay on-line by email transaction, please print out your receipt as this will be the original copy. If you pay by cheque, you will be given your receipt at the conference registration desk.

Participant List Deadline

The participant list will show the names of attendees whose registrations are received by Conference Services on or before Monday, July 7, 2003. Although every effort is made to ensure accuracy, Conference Services can not be held responsible for errors and/or omissions. The list will contain your name, organization’s mailing address, and email address.
