• Early Registration Fee: CDN $165 / US $125
• Early Student/Retired Faculty Fee: CDN $125 / US $95

• Registration Fee: CDN $212 / US $162
• Student/Retired Faculty Fee: CDN $165 / US $125
All presenters are expected to pay the registration fee.
There are no reduced fees for presenters/participants wishing to
attend only part of the conference.
The conference registration fee includes admission to all conference
sessions, two receptions (Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October
22), beverage breaks, conference materials, and the Canadian Government’s
7% Goods and Services Tax.
Student Fee
A valid copy of a student ID card or proof of full time status must
be faxed/mailed to the conference office.
SFU and UBC graduate students: Please contact SFU Conference
Services PRIOR to registering for the MSA6 conference.
AGM Lunch: Saturday, October 23
There is a separate fee for those wishing to attend the AGM lunch.
Cost: CDN $31.50/ US $24
Poetry Reading: Saturday, October 23
There is no additional fee for the poetry reading to be held at
Simon Fraser University’s Harbour Centre campus on Saturday,
October 23. However, space is limited to the first 200 registrants.
How to Register
MSA Membership
MSA membership dues are US $60.00 for regular members and US $40.00
for graduate students and adjunct faculty. For international members
add US $6.00 for postage to Canada/Mexico and US $13.40 for postage
outside North America. MSA members receive the following benefits:
• admission to the annual MSA conference with payment of conference registration
fees.
• four issues of Modernism/Modernity and free electronic
access to the journal through Project Muse.
• access to a website hosted by Johns Hopkins University Press. The MSA website provides
conference updates, a membership directory,a newsletter, notice of MSA nominations and elections, publication
announcements, and sample syllabi.
You must be a member of MSA to attend this year's conference
in Vancouver. Unless specified otherwise, dues paid now will
apply to the cycle beginning October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005.
The 2004-5 payment will include eligibility for the conference
in Vancouver, and a subscription to Modernism/Modernity starting in January,

On-line
Complete the ON-LINE
Form. You will be given the option of paying for your registration
fees on-line via a secure server (VISA or MasterCard).
Sorry, Simon Fraser University does not accept American Express
or Diners Club.
All credit card transactions will be processed in Canadian dollars
and are subject to current exchange rates.
By Mail or Fax
Complete the ON-LINE
Form and mail with your cheque or bank draft made payable to
Simon Fraser University to the address provided below.
Forms can also be faxed and cheques mailed separately.
Note: Faxed or mailed registrations will not be processed
until payment is received.
Cancellations and Refunds
Full refunds, less a CDN $30/US $23 processing fee will be granted
to cancellations received by Friday, October 8, 2004. No refunds
will be issued after that date. Refunds will be mailed after the
conference and will not be given to no-shows. Substitutions are
permitted.
Confirmation of your registration
If you register on-line and pay by credit card, you will receive
immediate confirmation via our server.
Important Information for International Registrants
Letters of Invitation will only be sent upon request to those individuals
(invited speakers, panel and seminar presenters) who will be presenting
papers at the MSA 2004 conference. We regret that we are unable
to send Letters of Invitation to general conference registrants.
Receipts
If you pay on-line by email transaction, please print out your receipt
as this will be the original copy. If you pay by cheque, you will
be given your receipt at the conference registration desk.
Participant List Deadline
The participant list will show the names of attendees whose registrations
are received by Conference Services on or before Thursday, October
14, 2004. Although every effort is made to ensure accuracy, Conference
Services can not be held responsible for errors and/or omissions.
The list will contain your name, organization’s mailing address,
and email address.
