(New) Certificate in Professional Coaching
Change lives as a professional coach
In the words of Eric Schmidt, a former Google CEO, “Everyone needs a coach.” As individuals, teams and organizations deal with growth, restructuring and other kinds of change, there is increasing demand for professional coaches to help people manage and embrace this change, fulfill their potential, accomplish goals, execute strategies and enhance their performance. As a result, coaching has become one of the fastest-growing professions in recent years.
Who is SFU's coaching program for?
Coaching: Helping others become more effective
We define coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Whether you wish to build on your current role or you're planning a career change, SFU’s part-time Certificate in Professional Coaching, which takes place at our Vancouver campus, will prepare you to transform individuals, teams, and organizations by helping them reach their highest level of effectiveness. It will also help you take the next step toward professional coaching certification.
In addition to building your coaching skills, understanding, capacity, and presence, you'll learn to plan, promote and implement coaching services in a variety of organizational settings. You'll also learn to incorporate coaching into your current position and establish a new career as a certified life coach, leadership coach, career coach, or executive coach.
