Three Minute Thesis
Can you distill your thesis down to a 3-minute presentation? Are you up for a fun competition that will let you challenge your fellow students and enter to win prizes?

How often do people ask you what your research is about? Participating in the 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition will help you develop a quick, possibly quirky and definitely interesting answer.
It will also help you build up your presentation and communication skills — both of which will serve you well at professional conferences and job talks. As an added bonus, it will give your research exposure in your department and help you find out more about your fellow classmates research.
Thanks for participating this year!
See our blog for full list of finalists.
Huge congratulations to Mike Henrey and Andrea Smit! Andrea received second place from the judges, and Mike received first place and the people's choice vote.
We'll be posting the videos from all 3MT finalists on this blog as we receive the files.
Thanks to all competitors, and their faculty heat organizers, and we're looking forward to having the competition again next year! (And next year, the University of Manitoba has already offered to host the Canadian finals!)
