The establishment of a Centre for Impact Assessment would create a repository for data and become a resource to assist government, non-governmental organizations, communities and the private sector in better understanding and improving the effectiveness of education interventions
The Chair will also bring together researchers and practitioners in the field of education to develop and evaluate monitoring and evaluation tools and approaches and will promote partnerships with other institutions, governments, non-governmental organizations and the private sector.
The establishment of an endowed Research Chair for the Indigenization of Education would lead knowledge and action-based research that focuses on Indigenous education (past, present and future) with the expressed intent of improving the learning outcomes of Aboriginal students.
This chair will lead a research centre that offers interdisciplinary inquiry into internationalization practices for investigating curriculum and pedagogy from international perspectives and for articulating academic rationales that respond to rapidly changing global and local conditions.

An endowed Research Chair in Teacher Education and Technology would build on current research activities around issues of teacher education and technology in the Faculty of Education to guide investigators into the activities conducted at the Centre for Educational Technology.
