Researching the Globe
Think research is boring and unrelated to the real world? Think again!
Researching the Globe is an inspirational evening showcasing SFU research activities that are having, or have the potential to have, impact beyond our borders. Presented in partnership with SFU Vancouver, this evening is an important part of the 2017 SFU Public Square Community Summit which explores Canada’s Role in the World.
The event begins with an interactive public gallery of poster and digital displays presented by faculty, staff, student and alumni researchers from across SFU’s campuses. Enjoy light refreshments as you move through the gallery and informally chat with researchers from a variety of SFU departments and programs. Learn about their work and how SFU research is impacting the global community.
After the public gallery, we will enjoy a series of rapid-fire presentations from researchers who will share inspiring stories on the potential and promise of their work having global impact.
This evening will be hosted by Joy Johnson, SFU Vice-President, Research.
Researching the Globe is a special edition of Researching the City. See past presentations here.
