Lonely in Vancouver:
the Vancouver Foundation report
As part of the Alone Together Community Summit, on Thursday September 20th, 2012, City Conversations featured an interactive dialogue on the Vancouver Foundation report on isolation in the region, featuring Catherine Clement, Vice President, Public Engagement and Communications, Lee Herrin, Sentis Market Research and Daphne Bramham, Vancouver Sun. This session looked at the drivers of change in the community and considered pathways that may lead residents to become more active and connected in their neighbourhoods and communities.
What
SFU Public Square presents City Conversations, a series of lunchtime meet-ups the first and third Thursday of each month at SFU Harbour Centre.
Bring your sushi, sandwich and smoothie, and settle in for brief presentations from the most knowledgable people we can find on current topics affecting Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. We’ll provide experts with contrasting views and then turn the floor over to you to ask your questions and present your opinions. City Conversations doesn't have lecturers and audience, but rather presenters and participants. It's a conversation.
