Wahiba Chair

Wahiba Chair is a senior social media strategist and instructor with over 10 years of direct experience in technology, digital and social media marketing in agency and consultation capacities.

Wahiba has helped companies ranging from start-ups like Auto Stitch App (acquired by Google) to global brands like Toyota develop integrated and measurable social media strategies. Most recently, she was the lead social media strategist for the 2017 BC General Election, which resulted in a 67 per cent increase in advance voter turnout (since the previous election) and one of the highest community engagement rates in the history of B.C. elections.

Wahiba’s passion for social media marketing prompted her to start #YVRSocial, a series of often sold-out panel events that aim to elevate and connect the social media marketing community in Vancouver.

In addition to hosting #YVRSocial, Wahiba speaks at conferences such as SFU’s Marketing in Focus and Social Media Camp, the largest event of its kind in Canada.

A native French speaker with solid familiarity of the Arabic language and cultural norms, Wahiba offers a unique perspective on social media and technology in global markets.
