Project Management Technology
When it comes to project management technology, MS Project® is just the beginning. This course provides an overview of the many project management areas where software plays a supporting role. It focuses on project portfolio management, project document repositories, resource management, time sheeting, and project process reporting. Improve your understanding of software options, including MS Project, and learn how to evaluate and compare them.

What will I learn?
After completing this course, you should be able to do the following:
- Demonstrate your understanding of how software tools can support the project management process, from budgeting to closing
- Use MS Project® to plan projects, including developing a work breakdown structure and Gantt chart
- Use MS Project to allocate and track human resources
- Evaluate and compare project management software packages and tools
How will I learn?
Expect to cover concepts through a combination of theory, best practices, real-world case studies, and networking opportunities. You'll participate in exercises, group discussions, case studies, and presentations. There will also be reading and take home-assignments.
How will I be evaluated?
You'll be evalauted on a pass/fail basis using a combination of in-class or take-home assignments, individual or group projects, participation, and attendance.

If you are part of the diploma program, you will receive A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) on the first day of class.
