Best Practices and Emerging Platforms in Social Media
Learn about the latest social networks as well as the established and popular platforms, including Facebook and Twitter. We’ll take you through current best practices and tactics for approaching social media for branding and marketing communications.
We’ll introduce trends such as social gaming and explore best practices for community management. We’ll also show to you how to use tools like Hootsuite to manage, monitor, and measure social media through analytics.
This course is available only as part of the Digital Communications Certificate.
What will I learn?
This course will cover the following:
- An introduction to the major social media platforms, including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, Google +, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- The role of social media in your marketing and communications plan, and the importance of integration
- Best practices and tactics for managing social media communities successfully
- Social media tracking through tools such as Hootsuite
- Social game play and how to utilize it
