Rich Media for the Web
This class is designed to provide you with the fundamental technical knowledge you need to create rich visual media for websites and social media campaigns. We’ll demonstrate video shooting best practices, and you’ll complete both in-class and take-home assignments using Apple’s iMovie. We’ll also learn how to create royalty-free music beds for video projects and get an introduction to audio editing using Apple’s Garage Band. We'll also cover leveraging digital distribution via the Internet through such websites as YouTube.
This course is available only as part of the Digital Communications Certificate.

Learning materials
All students must have, at the very least, a smartphone or tablet that can shoot HD video. A prosumer-grade AVCHD hand-held digital video camera is more preferable. Access to all software will be provided.
