Stones and humans have long told stories about one another, as witnessed by the fascination with the philosopher’s stone, the Rosetta stone, Stonehenge, and even Mount Rushmore. How might these narratives challenge our fundamental conceptions about categories of being and the distinctness of what it means to be human?
