Gregory Myers

Gregory Myers, an independent scholar, publisher, and bibliographer, lives in Vancouver and holds an MLIS and a PhD in historical musicology from the University of British Columbia. He specializes in Eastern European music—specifically, music from the Balkans and Russia.

He researches and publishes extensively. He also lectures on issues in medieval music (Byzantium and the Slavs) and the post-WWII musical developments of Eastern Europe.

Myers has held fellowships at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the Ivan Dujcev Centre for Slavo-Byzantine Studies in Sofia, Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, DC, the Ohio State University, and the University of Illinois (Urbana–Champaign).
