Norm Marshall helped found Smart Mobility, Inc. in 2001 and currently serves as president. Prior to this, he was at Resource Systems Group, Inc. for 14 years, where he developed a national practice in travel demand modeling.
His professional work focuses on analyzing the relationships between the built environment and travel behaviour, and on planning that coordinates multi-modal transportation investments with land use and community needs. At present, he is completing a major project for the California Air Resources Board, reviewing how well advanced travel demand models account for greenhouse gas reduction strategies.
Marshall has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree in engineering sciences from Dartmouth College.
