Bidisha Ray

Bidisha Ray is an assistant professor in SFU’s History department. She did her undergraduate studies at Delhi University in political science and holds an MA in International Relations from Jadavpur University (Calcutta) and an MSc in Gender and Development from the University of York. She completed her PhD in history at the University of Manchester.

She has taught courses in history and Politics at various educational institutions and worked with the British Cabinet Office in London. A recipient of various bursaries and awards in India and the United Kingdom including the President's Medal for Outstanding Performance in the Humanities(India), Foreign and Commonwealth Office Scholarship, British Academy grant and Charles Wallace India Trust award.
