Bill Tieleman is one of British Columbia's best-known communicators and strategists, as well as a newspaper columnist, radio and television political commentator. Bill combines experience at the top levels of the provincial government and the labour movement with expert public relations skills.
Since 1998, his company West Star Communications has provided communications and strategic consulting services to a wide range of clients, including leading labour, business, not-for-profit and governmental organizations, as well as small businesses, community groups and political candidates.
Bill is also well known as a political commentator in the media, writing a column on politics every Tuesday for the free weekday newspaper 24 Hours Vancouver since 2005 and for thetyee.ca, B.C.’s award-winning online newsmagazine. Previously, he served as a political columnist for four years for the Georgia Straight weekly newspaper and as a columnist for the National Post on labour and economic issues for two years.
