Carla S. Shore APR is Principal of C-Shore Communications Inc., a full-service public relations consultancy. As a public relations strategist and writer, she helps organizations manage communications issues that range from sensitive, high profile topics to publicity-driven events. Fluent in English and French, Carla's experience includes communications planning, media relations, media training, social media, facilitation, and speechwriting. She is particularly adept at plain-language writing, translating subject-specific text into English. Trained as a journalist at Carleton University, she has parleyed her journalistic background into a successful career helping organizations manage communications issues that range from sensitive, high profile topics to publicity-driven events. Over more than 15 years in Ottawa and Vancouver, she has worked with industries from economic development to technology, from sustainability to consumer products, from mining to health, from youth to seniors, from construction to insurance. She is an active member of the Vancouver Board of Trade’s Sustainability Committee and of the Vancouver Food Policy Council.
