Kevin Smith, LLB is a staff lawyer with the Elder Law Clinic of the B.C. Centre for Elder Advocacy and Support (BCCEAS). Kevin is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School of York University in Ontario, and is a member of the B.C. and Ontario bars. Kevin had worked as a legal aid lawyer for over thirty years in Ontario, and for the last five years he has worked in B.C.. While in Ontario, Kevin worked in that province's community legal clinic system. His last position there was as Clinic Director of Parkdale Community Legal Services (PCLS), a community clinic associated with Osgoode. PCLS has 20 staff, and each academic term 20 law students come to work in the clinic as caseworkers. Kevin was Co-Director of the Parkdale Intensive Program in Poverty Law of Osgoode for 15 years, and was a member of Osgoode’s faculty. In B.C., Kevin has specialized in elder law with BCCEAS.
