Kishone Tony Roy

Kishone Tony Roy is CEO of the BC Non-Profit Housing Association. BCNPHA represents about 600 affordable housing providers and stakeholders that operate over 60,000 units of housing throughout British Columbia. During his tenure, BCNPHA has more than doubled in size, and it has become the go-to voice on affordable housing for media and research. It now hosts five housing conferences every year in every region of the province. BCNPHA is an extremely entrepreneurial organization with less than 15% of its revenues coming from membership dues or from government sources.

Under Kishone’s leadership, BCNPHA has also acquired a large equity stake in Encasa financial, a mutual fund company that manages nearly half a billion dollars of assets on behalf of affordable housing providers, and joined offices with the Co-Op Housing Federation of BC to create Housing Central, a new hub for affordable housing leadership in B.C. Prior to joining BCNPHA, Kishone spent most of his career as a senior political aide to federal and provincial party leaders in Ottawa and British Columbia. He then worked at the Beedie School of Business in Vancouver and as a consultant and volunteer in the non-profit sector. Kishone holds a master's degree in leadership studies from Royal Roads University.
