Risk Management

Shaun Sinclair has held various frontline and leadership positions in the insurance and risk management industry for over 25 years. He started his career as a company adjuster, handling mostly personal lines and farm claims. This experience led to leadership and management roles, expanded to include significant liability and commercial losses. In 2000, he moved into a risk management role for an international brokerage firm, and then for a large telecommunications company. He currently leads the General Insurance and Risk Management program at BCIT.

Shaun is also a past president of the Insurance Institute of British Columbia (IIBC), and has spent many years teaching and volunteering in various roles at the institute, including providing input on various committees, and developing and volunteering at the IIBC Battle of the Bands networking event.

In his spare time, he plays in two bands (he is a vocalist, and plays guitar and bass guitar), and enjoys restoring classic and exotic cars and spending time with his wife and daughter.
