Naoko Uchida is an established freelance translator, editor and project manager whose client base encompasses North America, Europe and Japan. She earned her MA in translation and interpretation from Monterey Institute of International Studies (California, U.S.). With over 17 years of professional experience in the field, she possesses current and extensive knowledge of the translation industry today.

Uchida is highly proficient in Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools. Her research article "Observations on the Tendency to Lose Context When Using Translation Memory Tools" was published in the 2009 issue of Interpreting and Translation Studies by the Japan Association for Interpreting and Translation Studies. In 2012, it was selected to be included in the Collected Articles on the Japanese Language (volume 47).

Her specialties include information technology, Internet-related services, social media, business and marketing. She has been involved in Japanese translation for many of the most well-known and commonly visited websites on the Internet.
